Handmade, scented, natural soap bar. This handmade soap is made in small batches using the cold process method. Made with grapefruit essential oil from Young Living, Activated Charcoal, Kaolin Clay, Moroccan Red Clay, Brazilian yellow clay, Turmeric, French Green Clay, and Serbian Blue Clay. Aged 4 weeks and ready for your beauty routine. This soap has a wonderful lather, and this bar was designed and created by my nine year-old daughter! She’s a future soap maker in the making! Grapefruit essential oil adds a refreshing scent to soap and offers several benefits for the skin, including cleansing, antioxidant, and toning properties. Grapefruit essential oil can be an effective antibacterial and antimicrobial. Like all citrus oils, it is important to note that Grapefruit essential oil can be phototoxic for some skin types. Phototoxic means a substance makes skin or eyes abnormally sensitive to sunlight. It is best to avoid products with citrus essential oils before going tanning and before prolonged sun exposure. Activated charcoal is a black powder that is lighter than air. It comes from a plant source. In this bar I use 100% wood activated charcoal from Canada. The porous nature of activated charcoal allows it to trap and absorb impurities, dead skin cells, toxins, and excess oil from the skin and pores. By removing pore-clogging substances and absorbing bacteria, activated charcoal soap can help prevent and treat acne and other blemishes. It helps balance the skin's oil production by absorbing excess sebum, providing a solution for oily and acne-prone skin without over-drying. Kaolin clay, also known as "white clay" or "China Clay," is a soft, white, naturally occurring clay primarily composed of the mineral kaolinite. It's prized for its mildness, absorbency, and fine particle size, which makes it suitable for various applications, including cosmetics. Red Moroccan clay, also known as Rhassoul clay, is a mineral-rich clay sourced from the Moroccan Atlas Mountains that is used in beauty and skincare. Its reddish color comes from its high content of iron oxides, and it contains beneficial minerals such as magnesium, silica, and potassium. Brazilian Yellow Clay is a natural cosmetic powder, mined in Brazil, known for its high silica content and gentle nature. Yellow Brazilian clay benefits soap by providing a natural colorant while offering skin benefits such as gentle exfoliation, improved circulation, and a refreshing feel. It is a mild clay, making it suitable for dry and sensitive skin, and its minerals can help stimulate collagen formation. Turmeric is a spice that comes from the root of the Curcuma longa plant, which is part of the ginger family. Its major active ingredient is curcumin. “Curcumin is what gives turmeric that bright, yellow color. It is said that Turmeric soap can benefit the skin due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties, which may help even skin tone, reduce hyperpigmentation and acne, soothe inflammation, and promote wound healing. The active compound, curcumin, helps neutralize free radicals, brighten skin, and fight acne-causing bacteria. Regular use may also support skin regeneration and reduce the appearance of scars. French Green Clay, also known as Illite or Montmorillonite clay, is a mineral-rich powder mined from deposits in France. It contains a blend of minerals like silica, aluminum, and magnesium, which give it its distinctive green color. The clay is sun-dried and pulverized into a fine powder, then used in masks, body wraps, soaps, and hair treatments. Serbian blue clay, also known as Cambrian blue clay, is a mineral-rich natural clay primarily found in Serbia, known for its distinctive blue-grey color from the minerals and algae it contains. Bars weigh approx. 115g (4.06oz) slight variation from bar to bar because they are hand-cut. PLEASE NOTE: My soaps are made by hand, please allow for clarity & shape/size differences in your finished product. This soap will last a long time if kept dry. Please let the bar air dry between uses & keep it away from direct streams of water.
